4-year-old gelding, Silver Ride, scored his second consecutive win on Friday, October 7 in an allowance optional claiming race at Keeneland. Going seven furlongs on the dirt, Silver Ride dueled for the lead early on and dug in down the final stretch to win by a half-length.
The son of Candy Ride won his previous start a month prior in an allowance race at Saratoga. Owned by Jim and Susan Hill, Silver Ride came from a ten month layoff to capture his 2016 starts.
"You never know how a horse is going to come back from chip surgeries, but after 6 months of rehab and training at Margaux, Silver Ride is clearly better than ever,” said owner Jim Hill.
The Brian Lynch trainee has accumulated four wins from thirteen starts with career earnings of $194,615.
