Bought for $235,000 out of the VanMeter-Gentry Sales consignment at the 2018 Keeneland September Sale by owner Bill Werner, Mr. Hustle made a promising career debut on Sunday at Woodbine Racetrack. The Margaux Farm starting and training grad broke on top in a field of nine and drew off to win by 5 ¼ lengths under Rafael Hernandez for trainer Roger Attfield. The dark bay gelding is by Coolmore’s Declaration of War, out of the More Than Ready mare Ready Ready Ready, who is a half-sister to Jim Dandy (G2) winner Laoban and from the family of G1 winner I’m A Chatterbox .
