Mo Mosa Makes Splash in G3 Steve Sexton Mile

Margaux Starting & Training Grad MO MOSA upsets favorite C Z ROCKET to take the G3 Steve Sexton Mile, going one mile over a sloppy main track at Lone Star Park on May 31.

With the speedy HUNKA BURNING LOVE breaking to the front and taking the field through a half-mile in :47.83, MO MOSA comfortably chased off the pace in third with C Z Rocket a length in front. Hitting anoother gear at the top of the stretch, MO MOSA briefly matched up with the favorite before kicking clear to win by 3 1/2 lengths in 1:37.15.

This is the first graded stakes victory for the 4 YO son of UNCLE MO, who won the Bosselman Pump and Pantry/Gus Fonner S. at Fonner Park last time out April 24. Owned by Denise & Perry Martin and campaigned by Mike Maker, he has hit the board in 11 of 16 lifetime starts, with four victories and earnings totaling $453,875.
