Sharp Sensation Nominated for Three Sovereign Awards

Jim and Susan Hill’s Sharp Sensation earned a spot in three different categories for the 2014 Sovereign Awards. The bay son of Sharp Humor was nominated for Champion Older male, Champion Turf Horse, and Champion Male Sprinter.

Sharp Sensation’s career highlights of 2014 include victories in the Karl Boyes Memorial S. at Woodbine, the Turf Monster H.(G3) at Parx Racing, and a win at Churchill Downs in the Bet on Sunshine Stakes. His final start of the year came in the Grade 2 Kennedy Road S. where he finished second to Calgary Cat.  Sharp Sensation also placed third in the Woodford S.(G3) during the Keeneland fall meet. The Reade Baker trainee managed to score each of his stakes victories of the year on synthetic, turf, and dirt. 

Sharp Sensation was bred in Kentucky by Hunter Valley Farm, and purchased as a weanling for $55,000 from the 2010 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
