Proving his win in the G2 Twilight Derby last month was no fluke, layup and training grad Mo Forza battled gamely the length of the stretch with Neptune’s Storm to prevail by three quarters of a length in Saturday’s G1 Hollywood Derby at Del Mar.
Placed third along the rail in the early stages by jockey Paco Lopez, Mo Forza made his bid for the lead along the far turn before buckling down for the stretch drive. The son of Uncle Mo now has earnings of over $350,000 and races for OG Boss and breeder Bardy Farm. With earnings of over $350,000, the Peter Miller trainee has not been beaten since breaking his maiden on September 29th in his sixth attempt.
