Starting and training grad Saguaro Row broke slowly from post position 6 in yesterday’s $100,000 Pumpkin Pie Stakes at Aqueduct, but the 4yo Union Rags filly circled the field and pulled away by 4 ¼ lengths to notch her first stakes victory.
Coming off a third place finish in the Shine Again Stakes at Laurel in September, Saguaro Row collected her third victory from seven starts in 2019 to push her career earnings to $214,104. She was ridden by Joel Rosario for trainer Mike Stidham and owners Mark Breen and Newtown Anner Stud.
