Margaux Starting & Training Grad MOIRA, was in a league of her own winning the $250,000 Princess Elizabeth S. in her first career start, going 1 1/16 on Woodbine’s All Weather Track October 23.
Breaking from the 9th hole at 4-1, MOIRA chased from mid-pack as MO TOURING led the field through an easy half-mile in :49.07. Bumping with her foes as they rounded the far turn, MOIRA found a hole and rocketed forward to take command mid-stretch, eventually pulling away to win by 4 1/4 lengths in 1:44.63.
“She was always a nice physical and the owners gave her the opportunity to mature which has obviously paid off in this performance,” said farm trainer Dermot Littlefield. “She is a nice type that looks like she will continue to get better with age and we are excited to see what she does in the future.”
A $150,000 purchase by Donato Lanni from Keeneland September, the 2 YO daughter of GHOSTZAPPER is campaigned by Kevin Attard for the partnership of X-Men Racing, Madaket Stables LLC and SF Racing LLC. She is 1-for-1 with earnings of $121,292.
