Phantom Currency, a five year old son of Goldencents, took the G2T Mac Diarmida on Gulfstream Park’s turf course on Saturday for owners Jim and Susan Hill.
Following an allowance winning effort on January 13th, the Brian Lynch trainee took the lead early under Paco Lopez and proved too much, besting the likes of favorite Tide of the Sea and a field of six more by three-quarter of a length.
