Trained by Roger Attfield, Gray’s Fable broke sharply from the one hole and led the field by a length in early fractions of :23.61, :46.55 and 1:09.38. Ever Dangerous came head to head with the gray son of Gio Ponti as they neared the quarter pole, but he easily shrugged him off to win by 2 lengths in 1:32.64.
Owned by the partnership of Steve Goldfine, Kari Provost and Jeff Zlonis, this is Gray’s Fable’s first start since capturing a Woodbine Allowance in September and his first Graded Stakes victory, bringing his to earnings of $173,743.
