Margaux Training Grad BOB’S EDGE scored a decisive victory in the G3 Whitmore Stakes going 6 furlongs at Oaklawn Park on March 19.
BOB’s EDGE kicked off his 2022 campaign by earning his first stakes win in the King Cotton Stakes back in January. On Saturday he trailed from the start and remained unhurried throughout the beginning stages of the race. Turning for home he swung wide and rolled down the stretch to score a length victory, stopping the clock in 1:09.42, in a fashion reminiscent of WHITMORE himself.
The 4 YO son of COMPETITIVE EDGE has only gotten better with age. His victory on Saturday now brings his record to 13-6-1-4 with earnings of $516,428.
