Margaux grad Mr. Money found his old form on Saturday, after a stalking trip resulted in a 1 ¼ length victory in the G3 Ack Ack Stakes at Churchill Downs.
After winning four grade 3’s in 2019, Mr. Money was winless in four starts to start his 2020 season. Ridden by Gabriel Saez for trainer Bret Calhoun, the winner’s share of the $100,000 purse elevated Mr. Money’s career earnings to $1,360,430 from 17 starts.
Owned in partnership by Chester Thomas’ Allied Racing Stable and Spendthrift Farm, who acquired an interest in the son of Goldencents last year, Mr. Money now has 6 wins from 17 starts.
